Doctorcall Ltd have been established in London since 1989 (www.doctorcall.co.uk). We offer a range of medical services: a 24-hour emergency private doctor callout service within the London area, a nationwide Occupational Health service, a private sexual health clinic called the Regents Park Clinic (www.regentsparkclinic.co.uk), a Travel Clinic (www.doctorcalltravelclinic.co.uk) and a aesthetic cosmetic clinic called Lifestyle Clinic (www.lifestyleclinic.co.uk).
We are also the largest nationwide mobile Flu vaccination service and this year arranged flu vaccinations for Boots, Superdrug, Sainsburys and Morrisons to the public.
All our clinics are fully approved by the Healthcare Commission and our turnover last year was around £4.5million.
We have been looking to expand our operations outside London for some time. We met Octopus Health at an exhibition in Manchester last year when they were looking for new clients. Subsequent meetings established that the company provided services that were very much in line with our own and when the opportunity arose we were able to acquire the company.
The acquisition of Octopus Health is a fantastic opportunity for Doctorcall to build a centre of excellence in the North West with talented staff and experienced clinicians already in place in both core specialisms such as GP and sexual health private medical services as well as new specialist medicine such as psychotherapy, nutritional advice, podiatry and acupuncture. We look forward to expanding some of these new areas across the group.
The Octopus Health name will shortly be replaced by the Doctorcall group of brand names.
